UNCG GRADUATE ASSISTANTS NEEDED Middle College at UNCG “Pathways” Program Multiple graduate student hourly positions are available for Fall 2025, with renewal possible for Spring 2026 and beyond based on performance and staffing needs. All positions involve working with Middle College students – high schoolers who are dual-enrolled in both high school and college classes on UNCG’s campus – during their college portion of the school day. Graduate students from any department on campus are welcome to apply. Responsibilities for Fall 2025 could include: • Instructing students in “Pathways” or assisting with instruction, using lesson plans and course materials provided by the Middle College Liaison • Assisting during a Health course taught for Middle College students by a KIN graduate instructor (KIN/Health expertise not needed) • Assessing/grading student work on Canvas • Working with the Middle College Liaison on curriculum design/improvement • Supervising students during non-instructional time “Pathways” is our name for a series of UNCG courses taken annually by Middle College at UNCG students, designed to teach strategies for success in college, career, and life. The curriculum covers such topics as professionalism/workplace etiquette, preparing for college, career exploration, identity development, and financial literacy. Pathways courses also include guest speakers, on-campus field trips, and individual job shadowing experiences. Position and application details: ● Pay rate $15 per hour, no tuition reimbursement. ● Positions available working 5-15 hours per week, depending on applicant preference and availability. With permission, may be combined with other on-campus work (not to exceed 29 total hours per week). ● Must be available to work in person 9:30-10:50 am, 2-5 days per week. ● Applicants must have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree and be enrolled in at least one course as a UNCG graduate student. Highlight any experience teaching or working with young people (camp counselor, music/dance lessons, YMCA, coaching, etc.) when applying.
